Members and guests of the Copyright Society of the South enjoyed an informative guest panel on May 20, 2021 to discuss the current copyright landscape and challenges regarding livestreaming.

Marghie Evans, Moderator – Do Write Music (www.dowritemusic.com)
An expert in the rights clearance field, especially for audio-visual and new media and experienced music publishing executive, Marghie Evans is partner at Do Write Music in Nashville.  She sits on the boards of Leadership Music and the Copyright Society of the South and consults with Fair Trade Music International.
 
ET Brown – SESAC (www.sesac.com)
ET Brown joined SESAC’s licensing team in 2009 quickly moving to the Creative Team in 2010. After serving as Manager, Creative Services, he was promoted in early 2020 to Senior Director of Creative Services, where he is responsible for identifying and cultivating new talent across multiple genres.

Mark Greenburg – SBN Broadcasting Networks (www.thespinnetwork.com)
Mark Greenburg is President of SBN Broadcasting Networks and Chairman of Tresona Music Licensing. SBN Broadcasting provides private label broadcasting networks to schools, colleges and performing arts organizations which operate on the principle of revenue sharing.   Tresona specializes in the automated licensing of sheet music, synchronization licensing, dance and cheer licensing, and other derivative uses of copyrighted music.

Brandon Schott is Senior Director, Synch Licensing & Clearance at Concord Music, an independent worldwide holder of sound recordings, music publishing, and theatrical performance rights. Schott is based in Concord’s Nashville, Tennessee office.

Melanie Shark is Licensing Manager at Mandolin, a digital platform designed to help artists, venues, and fans connect through live music.

Shawn Wilson is Founder and CEO of Muzooka, a company that ensures songwriters and publishers are paid properly when their songs are performed live.
