The Latino Influence in Music – May 21, 2025
On May 21, 2025, the Copyright Society of the South welcomed award-winning singer-songwriter Ana Cristina Cash and leading music business authorities John Carter Cash and Rick Rodriguez, who discussed specific copyright considerations within the Latin music landscape, including translations/transliterations, music publishing intricacies, licensing nuances, and emerging legal trends. The luncheon event was held for Society members and their guests at the headquarters of The Mechanical Licensing Collective, located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Attendees also enjoyed musical performances by Ana and John from Ana’s current recording project.
