GUEST SPEAKER:  Dr. E. Michael Harrington

The topic will include how PD works can become copyrighted by means of added original expression, and the legal issues these newly copyrighted works face and will include music by Bach, Dave Brubeck, Paul Simon, Beethoven, Woody Guthrie and others.

He will also discuss some of the specifics of his successful effort to free “We Shall Overcome,” as well as his work to free “This Land Is Your Land.”
