On October 24, 2017, Dan Ruff and Duncan Hearn of MusicNotes, Inc. stopped by the Copyright Society of the South’s luncheon meeting to discuss how music publishers can benefit from sheet music monetization and licensing.

Dan Ruff has been a music publishing professional for the better part of a decade. His background includes print, mechanical and synch licensing. Prior to joining Musicnotes, he handled Licensing and Royalty Administration at Naxos of America, Inc. Dan graduated from Belmont University with a B.B.A. in Music Business and remains an avid musician.

Duncan Hearn comes from London with a background in marketing, commercial affairs and artist management. After graduating from the University of Surrey with B.A in Music Business, he worked for Universal until moving to Madison, WI to join Musicnotes, Duncan now spends his time ensuring Musicnotes provides an unparalleled sheet music experience for all 6 million of its customers.
