Ricky Hernandez was awarded the annual Bob Sullivan scholarship on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. A Vanderbilt law student currently in his 2nd year, Ricky’s current honors and activities include Dean’s List, Dean’s Scholarship Recipient, the Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law, Cork & Tap Legal Society and President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. Ricky also is a CPA, having practiced at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, MA. Ricky has participated in the Volunteer Lawyers and Professional for the Arts in Nashville as legal intern last fall. An avid music lover, Ricky served as the manager of the band “Poor Old Shine”; among his achievements were the creation and management of the band’s website and social media presence.

The Bob Sullivan Scholarship is given annually as a free membership in memory of Robert L. Sullivan. Bob was an active member of the Copyright Society, a well-respected Entertainment attorney, and a mentor to many aspiring lawyers in the Nashville community. Bob’s wife, Cathy Sullivan assists in the selection process and award presentation.
