opyright Society of the South welcomed members, potential members, and special guests to its recent mixer, held in the CMA Event Room on August 27, 2025. The event provided a great opportunity for new and long-standing members to network and connect in a relaxed and social setting.
“We were thrilled to see such a strong turnout,” said Aaron Hartley, Board Chair of the Copyright Society of the South. “It’s always a pleasure to bring our community together, and this event was a fantastic way to introduce newcomers to the incredible people and resources we have in our organization.”
The event featured a delicious spread of food from Chef’s Market, beautiful floral arrangements courtesy of Forever Bloom LLC, and beverage services by SBM Hospitality Services. The Copyright Society of the South extends its sincere thanks to these vendors for their outstanding contributions. The Society also thanks the CMA event staff for their hospitality, and all the members and guests who attended, making the evening a truly memorable and successful event.
About The Copyright Society of the South
The Copyright Society of the South was formed in 1988 in Nashville, Tennessee, consisting of music publishers, attorneys, music industry personnel, and academicians interested in the field of copyright law. Its mission is to provide a forum for study and discussion of domestic and international copyright law and other matters pertaining to the entertainment industry. It provides seminars, speakers, presentations, and the opportunity to present various points of view on subjects of interest to the membership. The Society refrains from taking a lobbying role or endorsing or sponsoring political positions or candidates.
