Job Title:  Receptionist

Department: Membership – ASCAP

Location:  Nashville        

Reports to:  AVP, Nashville

Job Overview:

The Receptionist will be an important member of ASCAP’s Nashville Membership team. Acting as a representative of ASCAP, the Receptionist will be responsible for welcoming all visitors and directing them appropriately, often acting as the first point of contact (for ASCAP members and other visitors), while also handling other administrative tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet individuals who are visiting the Nashville office, which can include ASCAP members, employees from other offices, candidates for interviews, and more
  • Notify appropriate team members of visitor arrivals
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate team members
  • Assist the Nashville Membership team in booking writer rooms and studios for ASCAP members
  • As needed, assist with ASCAP events and various related duties, such as check-in or plaque distribution
  • Handle other miscellaneous projects including the sorting and delivering of mail

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to take direction, follow through on tasks, and work productively when supervisors are out of the office
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and, when needed, maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Some prior administrative experience in an office environment helpful
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
